Coverage
The Employee Assistance Program offers help with a wide range of issues including conflicts and tension, eating disorders, family and relationship problems, financial or legal concerns, balancing work and home, depression, and alcohol or drug problems. All services through EAP are confidential.

In addition to personal reasons to use EAP, resources are also available for work with supervisors and/or other employees. Examples of services include:
  • Supervisory Consultations for an employee or the immediate supervisor of employees about challenging situations in the workplace;
  • Supervisory Referrals for employees who may need EAP support to return to a previous level of performance;
  • Workshops on a wide array of topics;
  • Web-based resources and tools
Cost
There is no cost to the employee and/or family members for up to five sessions of counseling. If more than 5 sessions are needed, the EAP counselor will help you switch to an insurance-based service.

Eligibility
EAP is available to all permanent state employees and their family members.
