Overview of HCM Turnaround Documents

Access to the Restricted Content Area is limited and requires specific account authorization. • Reports specific to human resources work are commonly referred to as turnaround reports. The turnaround reports are located on the DHR Intranet in the restricted-content location by department. The reports are updated each business day, at which time, the previous reports move to an archive folder. The purpose of the turnaround reports posting to the intranet is for review by Human Resources staff in the each department. Staff in HR field offices are trained on how to locate, and the use of these reports, as DHR communicates the fact that it is the originating personnel’s responsibility to review the turnaround reports (as the final check).

  • The turnaround reports are generated by the addition of or correction to a record in an employee’s Job Data in the Human Capital Management system. The Department of Human Resources and Human Resources field staff review all turnaround reports including changes to bargaining codes, position types, effective dates, hourly rates, next step dates, and overtime categories, for compliance with state policy and procedures. The criteria we use are provisions in the statute, bargaining agreements, policies and procedures, work rules and other written sources.

  • Printing and reviewing turnaround reports every day will assist staff in HR field offices as they gain knowledge, which will reduce future errors in addition to keeping them apprised as to what is occurring with those employed in their department or agency. Again, checking the reports will increase knowledge of the data in the system and the accurate use of that information.

  • The current formatting of the turnaround report was made available Friday, March 16, 2007. The addition of critical data on these reports resulted in a more efficient quality control review process. In addition, the updates made the reports an effective training tool. Each piece of data and/or combination of data (e.g., bargaining unit and management level) is reviewed for compliance.
