DHR coordinates with the Agency of Administration and the Governor to determine if emergency closing or delays are necessary. In the case of such a decision, DHR will update the Current Operating Status found below, the Emergency Phone Line (800-644-4402), local television and radio stations (listed below), and VT-Alert.
Operating Status: Open
State offices are open for business during their regularly scheduled hours. However, as weather is not always predictable, everyone is encouraged to check the 511 website 511 Website for the most up to date information on road conditions and route selection and register for a Vermont Alert (VT-ALERT) account to help keep you up to date on emergency situations in your area.
Employees who are not able to report to work due to weather or other emergency conditions should contact their Supervisor for further instructions.
This website and the Emergency Information Phone Line will be updated if weather information changes.

Real-Time Notifications
DHR has partnered with VT-Alert to create real-time alerts for state employees and the public if necessary. In these situations, all executive branch employees will receive alerts to their state email. Both the state employees and the public can sign up with VT-Alert to receive alerts to a personal email or phone number (with an option for voice and/or text notifications).
