Employee Verification Requests
(We only support W-2 Employees for "State of Vermont")
Please read this entire section and follow each step before submitting your request. Requests are often time-sensitive and any error in submission can cause delays in processing.
Turnaround Time:
The State of Vermont strives to process all initial verification requests within three (3) full business days.
Requirements:
For PSLF forms we do not need a signed authorization.
Requests (both written and verbal) will only be processed provided you have submitted the following, via fax, email, or USPS mail:
- A signed, and dated, Borrower’s/Employee’s Authorization to Release information on their behalf. Electronic/Digital signatures are fine as long as they are dated
- Borrower’s/Employee’s last Four of their Social Security Number. Please make an effort to send an Authorization that is dated within 3 months of the verification request.
- Your full contact information.

Re-verifications: Every effort will be made to respond within one (1) full business day of receipt. Verbal re-verification can be honored as long as a Borrower’s/Employee’s Authorization is on file, and you provide the handwritten 5 digit number that we provide next to the employee’s name on the original verification or the last four digits of the Social Security Number. This abbreviated re-verification process will expire after three (3) months. Following that period, a full verification request must be (re)submitted.
