The State Employee Health Plan is now covering at-home COVID tests at no cost to enrolled members retroactive to December 1, 2021. The plan will cover up to 8 tests per member per month. The tests must be purchased at a pharmacy to be eligible for coverage (mail order or in person).
Submit through the Express Scripts Online System (You may also use this link to establish your online account. You will need your Express Scripts ID number. If you do not have this information you can obtain it by phoning 800-282-2881.
Express Scripts Reimbursement/Coverage at the Point-of-Sale
Approved tests will be covered by Express Scripts at the point-of-sale from your pharmacy. You will need your Express Scripts ID information if your pharmacist does not already have it in their system. If you do not have a card or your ID info or have other questions, please call 800-282-2881 for assistance.
Call your local retail pharmacy to see if they have at-home COVID-19 tests available.
Take your Express Scripts ID card to a retail pharmacy in your network.
Checkout at the pharmacy counter and show your ID card. Your at-home COVID-19 tests should automatically ring up at no cost to you. If the pharmacy is not able to process the claim, you may continue to submit for reimbursement using the online claim submission system or via paper claim form.
