Business Manager - HR:

  • Access to job data, job summary, emergency contact info, Payroll FY pages, position data and one query to check workgroup effective status.
  • This access must be approved by VTHR HRIS Unit.

Business Manager - TL:

  • Access to Chartfield data, Time and Labor Taskgroup and Task Profile updates, Time Reporter Data, reviewing employee paycheck data, run position control reports and queries associated with employee Time and Labor/position data.

Business Manager Support:

  • Access only to run queries to provide support for those in Business Manager - TL role.

Personnel Action Administrator:

  • Review and Approve actions for Employee Hire/Rehire/Transfer.
  • This role is only given to HR Administrators.

Personnel Action Requester:

  • Submit actions for Employee Hire/Rehire/Transfer.  Submit actions for External Hire.  Submit VTHR Access Requests.
  • This role requires specialized training, contact HR Administrator prior to requesting this access.

Personnel Action Viewer:

  • View requests for hires/rehires/transfers.  View requests for External Applicant hire.  Review VTHR Access Requests.
  • This role requires specialized training, contact HR Administrator prior to requesting this access.

Recruitment Appointing Authority:

  • Hiring Authority to approve job openings.
  • This role requires  Delegation of Authority form for someone other than Organization Head to be able to approve job openings for Organization, contact Recruitment prior to requesting this access.

Recruitment Hiring Manager:

  • Hiring Manager who has position opening to fill.

Recruitment Hiring Manager Proxy:

  • Proxy for Hiring Manager who has position opening to fill.
  • This role is not generally utilized, see instead Recruitment Hiring Manager.

Timekeeper:

  • Reviews Time Reporting Codes on Employee Timesheets, submits employee time for employees and runs time and labor validation queries.

TL Support:

  • Access only to run Time and Labor Queries to support those in Approver and Timekeeper roles.

Time Manager:

  • Supervisor/Approver role to submit and approve employee time for processing and run associated queries.
